Recap: Day 1 of 16U & 18U Showcase

Round and Round We go
The Dallas Blackhawks Elite 18U defeated the Arizona Bobcats 2-1 today after a ten round shootout. Henry Rooney had the winner in the shootout, and also had the game-tying goal in the third period.

Perkins on Fire
Tyler Perkins of the Madison Capitols 18U scored five goals in the Capitols 10-0 win over the California Titans today. Perkins also had three assists in the game, giving him a total of nine points (6G, 3A) in two games on the first day of play.

 

West Coast Best Coast?
Both the Everett Silvertips 16U and the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders extended their winning streaks, as they both are tied for first place of the 16U Division. The Everett Silvertips improved their record to 9-1-0 with a 4-1 win over the Colorado Springs Tigers. The Silvertips haven’t lost a game since Nov. 11. The RoughRiders also extended their record to 9-1-0 with 5-1 win over CarShield AAA.

 

Goin’ Streaking!
Dallas Blackhawks Elite 16U forward RJ Muckenstrum extends his point-scoring streak to seven games as he picks up three points (2G, 1A) in the first day of play.  One of the goals Muckenstrum scored today was the game-winning-goal in a 3-2 win over the California Titans 16U.
