Omaha wins Midwest Region titles, moves onto Districts

The Omaha AAA 16U team, proud member of the NAPHL, won their 4th consecutive Midwest Tier 1 Championship. Omaha AAA 16U defeated The Iowa Wild Elite 16U in two straight games (6-0 and 9-1) in the Midwest Tier 1 Finals held in Des Moines, Iowa on Feb 26 and 27, 2016.
Game 1 - Omaha AAA U16 - 6 , Iowa Wild Elite U16 - 0
Omaha got goals from 5 different players. Kendrick Frost (Kansas City , Missouri) and Sam Renlund (Madison , Wisconsin) paced the attack with a 2 goals. Gabe Wahl (Omaha , Nebraska) and Nick Doyle (Winnipeg , Manitoba) each added 2 assists to the winning effort. Omaha outshot Iowa 45-6 in the game and Maximillian Haselbacher (Vienna , Austria) earned the win in the net for the Omaha AAA U16 Team.
Game #2 - Omaha AAA U16 - 9 , Iowa Wild Elite U16 - 1
Omaha had an offensive explosion against Iowa . Gabe Wahl led the way with 3 goals and 1 assist. Kyle Kawamura (Nashville , Tennessee) had 2 goals and Kendrick Frost (Kansas City , Missouri) added 1 goal and 2 assists to pace the Omaha attack. Omaha outshot Iowa 41-7 and Todd Scott (Albertville , Minnesota) earned the win in net for Omaha.
Omaha now advances to the Central District Regional in Omaha, Nebraska March 11-13 , 2016. Omaha AAA will face Team Wisconsin, St Louis Blues and Chicago Mission.

Omaha got goals from TJ Polglaze (Beloit , Wisconsin) , Brendon Gysbers (Fond Du Lac , Wisconsin) and Matthew Acers (Denver , Colorado). Jaden Anderson (Denver , Colorado) also chipped in 2 assists . Omaha AAA U18's outshot Iowa 42-18 in the game. Gavin Hubbard (Annapolis , Maryland) earned the shutout win in net for the Omaha AAA U18 team making 18 saves.
Game #2 - Omaha AAA U18 - 3 , Iowa Wild Elite U18 - 0
Omaha got goals from 3 different players. Jaden Anderson (Denver , Colorado) led the way offensively with 1 goal and 1 assist. Tristan Ashbrook (Manistique , Michigan) and Dane Johnson (Overland Park , Kansas) each netted a goal for the winning Omaha effort. Cole Weaver (Champlin Park , Minnesota) earned the shutout in net making 23 saves.
Omaha now advances to the Central District Regional in Omaha, Nebraska March 11-13, 2016. Omaha AAA will face Milwaukee Jr Admirals, St Louis Blues and The Chicago Fury.
