Meijer 18U forward Olen gets call to the NAHL

The Meijer AAA 18U team of the NAPHL is pleased to announce that forward Zack Olen was called up to play in the NAHL for the Topeka Roadrunners in their series in Springfield this past weekend.

 

Olen, 17, has played 42 games overall this season for Meijer 18U team has recorded 15 goals and 14 assists and 14 PIMS. He played in two games last weekend for Topeka and had 3 shots and was a minus 1. The Roadrunners split the series with the Blues.

 

Earlier last month Zach was tendered by the Roadrunners. "This what we are all about, moving kids on," said Head Coach Brian Sherry.

 

While Zach was away, his team won two tough games in dramatic fashion over Compuware and the Soo Indians. Both games ended in a overtime shootout wins for the Meijer 18s.
