Omaha 16U and 18U capture Midwest Championships

Omaha U16AAA win their 3rd consecutive Midwest Tier 1 Championship. Omaha AAA U16 defeated The Kansas City Mavs Elite U16 and the Iowa Wild Elite in 3 straight games in the Midwest Tier 1 Finals held in Omaha , Nebraska on Feb 27 -  Mar 1 , 2015

 

Game 1 - Omaha AAA U16 - 8 , Kansas City Mavs Elite U16 - 1 

 Omaha got goals from 7 different players. Dane Johnson (Kansas City , KS) paced the attack with a 2 goals.  Ethen Frank (Omaha , NE) and Jaden Anderson (Omaha , NE)  each added a goal and 2 assists to the winning effort.  Omaha outshot Kansas City 68-5 in the game and Maximillian Haselbacher (Vienna , Austria) earned the win in the net for the Omaha AAA U16 Team. 

 

Game #2 - Omaha AAA U16 - 21 , Iowa Wild Elite U16 - 0

 Omaha had a complete offensive explosion against Iowa . Ethen Frank (Omaha , NE) again led the way with 3 goals and 5 assists. Casey Gilling (Gaylord , Michigan) had 2 goals and 4 assists and Austen Long (Blaine , MN)  added 3 goals and 2 assists to pace the high powered Omaha offense. Omaha outshot Iowa by a wide an incredible 101-4 and Alex Cathcart (Anaheim , CA) earned the win in net for Omaha.

 

Game #3 - Omaha AAA U16 - 12 , Kansas City Mavs Elite U16 - 0

Omaha just overpowered Kansas City from the start to the finish of the Midwest Championship Game. Dane Johnson (Kansas City ,KS) led the Omaha attack with 3 goals and 2 assists and Bryan Yoon (Denver , CO) added 1 goal and 3 assists to the effort. Omaha again outshot Kansas City by a wide margin 67-6 and Maximillian Haselbacher (Vienna , Austria)  picked up his 2nd win of the weekend.

 

Omaha now advances to the Central District Regional in St Louis, Missouri  March 13-15 , 2015. Omaha AAA will face Wisconsin, St Louis Blues and The Chicago Fury.

 

 

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are the 2014-2015 Midwest Tier 1 U18 Champions for the 2nd season in a row. Omaha AAA U18 defeated Kansas City Mavs Elite U18 and Iowa Wild Elite U18 in 3 straight games on Feb 27 and Mar 1 , 2015 in Omaha , Nebraska.

 

Game 1 - Omaha AAA U18 - 2 , Kansas City Mavs Elite - 1

 Omaha got goals from TJ Polglaze (Beloit , Wisconsin) and Jacob Loman (Richland , WA). Lucas Van Dyke (Des Moines , IA) earned the win in net for the Omaha AAA U18 team making 16 saves. 

 

Game #2 - Omaha AAA U18 - 3  , Iowa Wild Elite U18 - 0

Omaha got goals from 3 different players. Jarett Mari (Fargo , ND) led the way offensively with 1 goal and 1 assist. Tycho Falk (Des Moines , IA) and TJ Polglaze (Beloit , WI) each netted a goal for the winning Omaha effort. Darion Hanson (Bethel , MN) earned the win in net making 22 saves.

 

Game #3 - Omaha AAA U18 - 4 , Kansas City Mavs Elite - 2

Omaha got a 4 goal performance from TJ Polglaze (Beloit , WI) , Grant Anderson (Omaha , NE) contributed 2 assists and Lucas Van Dyke (Des Moines , IA) made 25 saves allowing the Omaha AAA U18 Team to capture their 2nd consecutive Midwest Tier 1 Championship.

 

Omaha now advances to the Central District Regional in St Louis , Missouri  March 13-15 , 2015. Omaha AAA will face Wisconsin , St Louis Blues and Chicago Mission.
