Pair of Omaha 16U players sign WHL contracts

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 16U forwards David Brumm (Maple Grove, Minnesota) and Luke Osterman (Stillwater, Minnesota) have signed Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreements with the Vancouver Giants and Seattle Thunderbirds respectively.
 
Brumm who was signed to a WHL contract by the Vancouver Giants had a very productive last season for the 2013-14 Omaha AAA 16U Team amassing 50 goals and 54 assists for 104 points in 84 games played overall. Brumm was a Cedar Rapids Roughriders (USHL) draft pick in 2013 is known as skilled forward with a scoring touch. 
 
Osterman who was signed to a WHL contract by the Seattle Thunderbirds last week, had a solid season for the 2013-2014 Omaha AAA 16U Team amassing 18 goals 20 assists for 38 points and 112 PIM in 84 games played overall. Osterman is a converted defenseman and is known as a tough, grinding forward who can play center or wing. He was a Seattle WHL draft pick in 2012, has played the last 2 seasons in Omaha and now reunites with former Omaha AAA goaltender Danny Mumaugh on the current Thunderbird roster. 
 
Osterman and Brumm now join last years Omaha AAA players Nick Heid (Portland Winterhawks) and Nathan Medeiros (Acadie-Bathurst Titan) in foregoing their NCAA eligibility and opting to sign and play in the CHL Major Junior Circuit starting this season.
