NAPHL announces Apex Learning Peak Performers for October 2020
The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of October. The players were selected based upon their performance during all NAPHL games played in October, including at the events in St. Louis, MO, and Blaine, MN along with head to head games at team sites. Peak Performers are only to full-time NAPHL Tier 1 members.
18U Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Hudson Norris, Shattuck-St. Mary’s
Norris, 16, helped Shattuck-St. Mary’s go 3-0-1 at the event in October in Blaine with nine points in the four wins. That included one goal and eight assists to go along with three multi-point games.
#2 Star: Reese Laubach, Northstar Knights
#3 Star: Tyler Donovan, Ontario Jr. Reign
18U Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Garrett Horsager, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA
Horsager, 18, played in the NAPHL event in St. Louis and also had a weekend series against the Indy Fuel in the month of October. In six games, he recorded seven points, which included one goal and six assists.

#3 Star: Grant Fuchsen, Shattuck-St. Mary’s
18U Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Logan Verpoort, Northstar Knights
Verpoort, 16, kept his perfect NAPHL record alive in October with three more wins, while allowing just two goals in the three games. Verpoort stopped 65 of 67 shots in the three wins during the month, which also included a 16-save shutout against CarShield AAA.
#2 Star: Cole Eastman, Colorado Springs Tigers
#3 Star: Tyler Krivtsov, Shattuck-St. Mary’s
16U Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Nick Jones, CarShield AAA
Jones, 16, climbed to 2nd in NAPHL 16U scoring with a great month of October, which included 17 points in nine games played. Jones had seven goals and 10 assists, and two of his goals were game-winners.
#2 Star: Jake Richard, Florida Alliance AAA
#3 Star: Kaleb Pitman, NorthStar Knights
16U Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Ty Boone, Indy Jr. Fuel
Boone, 16, climbed to the top of the NAPHL 16U scoring for defensemen as he posted nine points in eight games during October. That included six goals and three assists and three multi-point games.
#2 Star: Hunter Coulombe, Colorado Springs Tigers
#3 Star: Wyatt Sirimaturos, CarShield AAA
16U Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – CJ Kier, Northstar Knights
Kier, 16, was perfect in the month of October in NAPHL games with a 4-0 record. Kier allowed just five goals in the four games, stopping 81 of 86 shots in the process, which included a 28-save shutout against Florida.

#3 Star: John Simon, Northstar Knights
15U Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Nick Puricelli, CarShield AAA
Puricelli, 15, found himself tied for the NAPHL 15U scoring lead after a torrid October, where he recorded 13 points in just six games. That included 8 goals and 5 assists and three mutli-point games.
#2 Star: JP Piwowarczyk, CarShield AAA
#3 Star: Nick Hanner, Meijer AAA
15U Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Brenden Korte, CarShield AAA
Korte, 15, recorded six points in six games during the month of October, which included one goal and five assists. Korte also had two multi-point games during the month.
#2 Star: Kelton Kellerman, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA
#3 Star: Conner Broadhead, CarShield AAA
15U Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Branson Appelman, CarShield AAA
For the second straight month Appelman, 15, earned the 15U goalie honor. In October, he kept his perfect NAPHL season alive by posting three more wins as he stopped 56 of 58 shots during the month. That included a 12-save shutout on October 17th.
