Rocky Mountain 16U defenseman Millar makes NCAA DI commitment

The Rocky Mountain RoughRiders, proud members of the NAPHL, are pleased to announce that 16U defenseman Jack Millar has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey and attend school at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO.
Millar, 16, a Westminster, Colorado native spent the last four years with the RoughRiders organization playing for the 13U AAA, 14U AAA, and two years with the 16U AAA team.
This past season, Millar had 24 points in 22 games played in the NAPHL for the Rocky Mountain 16U team. He was also selected to and played in the 2016 NAPHL 16U All-Star Game.
Millar has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Coulee Region Chill and was also a draft pick for the USHL's Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Millar will be attending the USA Hockey National Festival in Amherst, NY this summer as one of the Colorado representatives.
The CC Tigers compete in the NCAA Division I National Collegiate Hockey Conference and is coached by Mike Havilland.
"This is a great opportunity for Jack both for his future hockey and academic career. Jack has been a great representative of the RoughRiders Hockey Club and we are very proud to see him get this opportunity in his home state with Colorado College. Jack has worked very hard both on and off the ice and we want to wish him the best of luck in both his academic and hockey future," said Director of Hockey Operations Derek Robinson.
