March 7, 2017
The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is pleased to report that full-time members, the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders, won the 18U Tier I Colorado State Championship this past weekend.

The RoughRiders finished 3rd in the NAPHL 18U division during the 2016-17 regular season season.

They defeated the Colorado Thunderbirds 2-0 in the State Championship Game. Adam Millar and Brandon Wilky scored the goals in the title game and goalie Cisco Clark-Silva made 14 saves in the shutout.

In addition, the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders 14U team, who completed in several NAHL Future Prospects Tournament events during the course of the 2016-17 season, also won the Tier I Colorado State Championship, with a 3-2 overtime win over the Colorado Thunderbirds.

The Rocky Mountain RoughRiders 16U team, who lost in the NAPHL Championship Game to Esmark back on February 20th, fell 4-3 to the Thunderbirds in the Tier I Colorado State title game.

Congratulations to the RoughRiders 18U team on their state title and for all teams representing the NAPHL in wonderful fashion! Best of luck in the USA Hockey district championships!
