Second Showcase in Blaine halfway done

Through the opening seven games of the season and first two of the second NAPHL event of the season teams are starting to separate themselves in the standings. As a reminder, each NAPHL team plays 25 games with the top 10 qualifying for the NAPHL Championship.

18U Division
 
Madison Capitols (1st place, 7-0-0) – After seven games, Madison stands alone as the only team in either division that is undefeated. Forward Anthony Callin leads the 18U Division in scoring with 15 points through seven games played.
 
Omaha AAA (2nd place tie, 6-1-0) – Perennial power Omaha is in a good spot with a 6-1 record. Offensively, forwards Jasper Weatherby and Tristan Ashbrook lead the squad with eight points apiece. Goalie Cole Weaver has a 1.60 GAA.
 
WBS Knights (2nd place tie, 6-1-0) – Tied for 2nd with Omaha is the WBS Knights. Goalie Gio Podalinkski is one of the top goalies in the league and defenseman Joseph Campolieto is tied for the team scoring lead with eight points.
 
Pikes Peak Miners (4th place, 5-1-1) – The Miners have a strong team this year and are led by forward Ethan Daniels, who has 10 points in the first seven games and goalie Jeremy Swayman, who has gotten a lot of scouting buzz lately.
 
Rocky Mountain Roughriders (5th place tie, 5-2-0) – The Roughriders have had a successful return to the league and boast the 18U Division’s top defense, having given up just eight goals. Goalie Zack LaRocque has established himself as one of the top goalies in the division.
 
Pursuit of Excellence (5th place tie, 4-1-2) – POE has done very well through the first seven games considering most of their team are 1999 and 2000 birthyears. Forward Brett Piper leads the team in scoring with seven points, which are all assists.
 
Meijer AAA (7th place, 4-2-1) – Meijer has shown they will be a force in the division as they have been lead by forwards Caleb Hite and Luke Cornell. Goalie Colt Hanks has continued his success from the 16U level to the 18U level as he has a 95.3% save percentage.
 
Esmark Stars (8th place tie, 3-3-1) – The Stars are back with their stingy and trademark defense.  Cam Williams and Ben Friedland lead the squad with eight points apiece and both goalies William Lowe III and Joseph Hubert are carrying sub-2.00 GAA’s.
 
Washington Little Capitals (8th place tie, 3-3-1) – The Little Caps are off to a solid NAPHL debut through their first seven games. Forwards Ryan Leibold and Aaron Agena lead the team, each with eight points and goalie Zach Hale has a 1.00 GAA through the first three starts.
 
Thunder Bay Kings (8th place tie, 3-3-1) – The Kings also are off to a solid debut in the NAPHL with a 3-3-1 record. Forward Jacob Brown is among the 18U offensive leaders with 12 points in his first seven games.
 
Wenatchee Wolves (11th place tie, 3-4-0) – Although they are on the outside looking in of the early playoff race, the Wolves have been competitive. Team defense has been solid, but the Wild will look to increase their offensive output the rest of the way. Forward Hayden Givens leads the club with four goals.
 
Philadelphia Little Flyers (11th place tie, 3-4-0) – The Flyers are much improved over last season and are lead by forwards Eric Lauk, Lars Culver and defenseman David Nee.
 
Arizona Bobcats (11th place tie, 3-4-0) – The Bobcats have struggled to find the back of the net, but are holding steady at 3-4. Forward Tony Cimato has five points to date and forward Jacob Kerns leads the team with four goals.
 
New Jersey Jr. Titans (14th place, 2-4-1) – The defending champs have had a rough go in the first seven games, but remain in the hunt. The Titans have several moving roster components, but Zach Noble has been the main production man with four goals so far.
 
California Titans (15th place tie, 2-5-0) – The two-time Champion Titans are off to a slow start, but have shown they can score. Forward Connor Chilton has received some scouting buzz and is tied for 2nd in 18U scoring with 13 points in seven games played.
 
HC Dallas (15th place tie, 1-4-2) – HC Dallas is hanging in there, but their lack of offense has limited the team’s success. The club has scored just seven goals in seven games. Goalie Hunter Smith is among the leaders in goaltending with a 1.01 goals against average and a 96.6% save percentage.
 
St. Louis Selects (17th place tie, 1-6-0) – The Selects have shown the ability to score, but wins have been tough to come by. Defenseman Joey Rosa leads the club with six points in five games played.
 
San Diego Jr. Gulls (17th place tie, 1-6-0) – The Gulls NAPHL debut is off to a rough start, but the team has been very competitive with some of the division’s best the last few games. Forward Joel Robling is off to a great start with eight points in his first seven games.
 
Lockport Express (19th place, 0-7-0) – The Express are the only team to have yet to post a win and have had challenges offensively, scoring just seven goals in their first seven games. Forward Kyle Sroka has four points to lead the teams to date.
 
16U Division
 
New Jersey Jr. Titans (1st place tie, 6-1-0) – The Titans have another strong group at the 16U level. The have the division’s top offense, which is led by Gavin Gulash, who leads the 16U division with 13 points. Goalie Thomas Walker is also among the league leaders.
 
Omaha AAA (1st place tie, 6-1-0) – Although they have done it with their patented offensive outburst, the Omaha AAA team is again very strong this season and has done it with defense, allowing just nine goals to date. Defenseman Kendrick Frost is tied for the team lead with 10 points.
 
Rocky Mountain Roughriders (3rd place tie, 5-1-1) – Rocky Mountain is one of the top teams at the 16U level thanks to a variety of offensive weapons including forwards Jacob Marti and Matthew Radzihovsky, who are tied with 12 points each to lead the team.
 
Washington Little Capitals (3rd place tie, 5-1-1) – Washington has been involved in some shootouts and have great depth on the roster. Five players have at least five points or more and John Billingsley leads the team with eight points to date. 
 
WBS Knights (5th place tie, 5-2-0) – The WBS Knights have been a nice addition to the NAPHL at both levels. Forward Jacob Goldowski is one of the league’s offensive leaders with 11 points and defenseman Shane Miller has eight points.
 
California Titans (5th place tie, 5-2-0) – The Titans are off to a great start with five wins in seven games. Forward Daylon Mannon leads with team with seven points and three players are tied with five points including Nickolai Gruzdev, Neev Begim and Denis Moiseev.
 
Meijer AAA (5th place tie, 5-2-0) – Although Meijer has not scored like they have wanted to, they have a very tough defense led by goalie James Durham. Forward Cam Lindsay leads the club with five points in seven games played.
 
Madison Capitols (8th place tie, 4-3-0) – The Capitals are in playoff position with a 4-3 record and are led by Brady Bjork who is tied for 2nd in the 16U division with 9 goals. Goalie Nathan Reid already has two shutouts this season.
 
Esmark Stars (8th place tie, 4-3-0) – The Stars are in playoff position with four wins to date. Alex Singley leads the club with eight points and Jacob McClelland is right behind him with six points.
 
Arizona Bobcats (10th place, 3-4-0) – Holding down the final playoff spot for now is the Arizona Bobcats. Goalie Cameron Sniffin has played in every NAPHL game to date and forward Brock Sottile is the offensive leader with seven points.
 
St. Louis Selects (11th place tie, 2-5-0) – The Selects have shown they can score and the games have been very even as they sit with only a -2 differential. Zach Stolz and Cole Cutler are the offensive leaders to date, each with six points.
 
Pursuit of Excellence (11th place tie, 2-5-0) – POE has stuggled out of the gate defensively, but have proven they can score. Riley Smoler is the team leader with seven points and forward Chase Sakic and defenseman Thomas Sprink are second on the team, each with six points.
 
Philadelphia Little Flyers (11th place tie, 2-5-0) – Philadelphia is hanging in there and with some more wins, could put themselves in playoff position. Shane Moran is the team leader in points with six and goalie Gino Albano has a very respectable 2.52 goals against average.
 
HC Dallas (11th place tie, 1-4-2) – Like their 18U counterparts, HC Dallas has struggled on the offensive side, but remain in the hunt. Forward Brandon Speights leads the team with five points and Thomas Demers has three goals. 
 
Thunder Bay Kings (15th place tie, 1-5-1) – Thunder Bay has won just once in their first seven games. Goalie Scott Adams has put up some great stats despite the record. Forward Quintin Loon-Stewardson leads the team with six points and five goals.
 
Pikes Peak Miners (15th place tie, 1-5-1) – The Miners have scored just five goals in seven games played, last in the 16U Division. However, forward Joshua Perez has been 80% of the offense as he has four of the five goals to date.
 
San Diego Jr. Gulls (17th place, 1-6-0) – The Jr. Gulls have scored seven goals in their last three games and are led by forward Tyler Leibel, who has six points and four goals to lead the team. Goalie Greg Moon has appeared in seven games.
 
New York Aviators (18th place tie, 0-7-0) – The Aviators are still looking for their first win. Of their 11 goals scored to date, forward Brendan Callow has five of them. Goalie Michael Mackey has close to a 90% save percentage.
 
Everett Jr. Silvertips (18th place tie, 0-7-0) – The Silvertips, who are one of the youngest teams in the league, have struggled out of the gate, scoring just six goals and allowing 57. Forward Noah Ashley leads with team with two goals.
