New Jersey 16U defenseman Kislin makes NCAA DI commitment

October 8, 2015
The New Jersey Jr. Titans of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 16U defenseman Julian Kislin has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Northeastern University.  Northeastern is a member of the Hockey East conference.

The Manalpan, NJ native is a mobile defender who skates very well. The 16-year-old isn't flashy, but he can make simple, heady lead passes. In fact, he's at his best when he's keeping it simple and not trying to overly force plays in transition.

Kislin (6’2/170) was recently named the #2 Peak Performer for all NAPHL 16U defensemen from the first NAPHL event of the season. In five games at the event, he recorded seven points, which included back-to-back three point games in wins over Madison and Washington.  The Titans went 4-1 at the event and are in a tie for 2nd place in the 16U division.

He's a player who is raw and has already shown signs of improving just over the past year. The Huskies coaching staff is clearly banking on the trajectory of his development continuing upward. Eligible for the 2017 NHL Draft, Kislin will likely matriculate to NU for the 2018-19 season.

Kislin made headlines last season when he assisted on one of the best plays you will see, let alone from a then 15-year-old.
