Omaha 16U forward Thompson makes NCAA DI commitment

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are please to announce that 16U forward Baron Thompson has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at the University of Maine starting in the fall of 2018.
 
Maine is a member of The Hockey East Conference (HEA).
 
Thompson is a native of Lakeville, Minnesota and is in his second season with the Omaha AAA Hockey Club. So far this year, the 6'4/225 lbs. winger has amassed 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points in 33 games overall for the Omaha AAA 16U Team that is again ranked as one of the top teams in the country. Thompson, 15, is known as a power forward with toughness and a scoring touch.
 
In NAPHL league play, the 15-year-old has 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points to go along with 14 PIM in 9 games played overall.
 
Thompson is now the 6th member of this years 16U Omaha Team to receive an NCAA Division 1 Hockey Scholarship joining Ethen Frank (Western Michigan) , Casey Gilling (Northern Michigan) , Bryan Yoon (Colorado College) , Jaden Anderson (Lake Superior State) and Nico Blachman (Lake Superior State).
