May 6, 2014
The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 18U defenseman Rhodes Dolan has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Wenatchee Wild. The Wild compete in the NAHL’s Midwest Division.

The 18-year-old Dolan (6’6/200) hails from Waterloo, Iowa and just recently completed his second season with the Omaha AAA organization.

Dolan had a very good season for the NAPHL Champion Omaha AAA 18U Team, while helping anchor the teams strong defense corps.

In 62 games played overall he had 12 goals and 28 assists for 40 points. He was also a plus 58 on the season to go along with 82 PIM. In NAPHL action, he had 13 points in 19 games played and an additional two points in the playoffs.

He won two NAPHL Championships while playing in Omaha, also winning last season with the Omaha AAA 16U Team.

Dolan becomes the 14th player this season from the Omaha AAA Hockey 18U and 16U teams to sign an NAHL Tender and is the now 12th player off of the reigning league champion 18U team. He joins Ryan Cagnoni 18U (Corpus Christi), Mason Krueger 18U (Corpus Christi), Tycho Falk 18U (Coulee Region), Matt Pulver 16U (Fairbanks), David Brumm 16U (MN Magicians) , Tyler Doyle 18U (Topeka Roadrunners) , Nathan Medeiros (Topeka Roadrunners) , Ryan Fretwell (Minot Minotauros) , Miles Manson (Minot Minotauros) , Mark Whitney (Michigan Warriors), Matt Nehls (Fairbanks Ice Dogs) , Justin Ketola (Brookings Blizzard) and Luke Lijewski (Brookings Blizzard).

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 3, 2014.
