Omaha sweeps Midwest 18U and 16U titles

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are the 2013-2014 Midwest Tier 1 Champions for the second straight season.
Omaha AAA U16 defeated The Kansas City Mavs Elite U16 in 2 straight games in a best of 3 series played in Kansas City , Missouri on Feb 28 and Mar 1 , 2014
Game 1 - Omaha AAA U16 - 6 , Kansas City Mavs Elite U16 - 1
Omaha got goals from 4 different players. Tarek Baker (Verona , WI) paced the attack with a 2 goals and 1 assist. Omaha outshot Kansas City 47-14 in the game and Cole Weaver (Champlin Park , MN) earned the win in the net for the Omaha AAA U16 Team.
Game #2 - Omaha AAA U16 - 11 , Kansas City Mavs Elite U16 - 1
Omaha had an offensive explosion . Tarek Baker (Verona , WI) again led the way with 1 goal and 4 assists. TJ Polglaze (Beloit , WI) had 3 goals and 1 assist and Matt Christian (Grand Forks , ND) added 1 goal and 4 assists to pace the high powered Omaha offense. Omaha outshot Kansas City again by a wide margin 67 - 12 and Darion Hanson (East Bethel , MN) earned the win in net for Omaha.
Omaha now advances to the Central District Regional in Fond Du Lac , Wisconsin March 21-23 , 2014. Omaha AAA will face Wisconsin , St Louis Blues and The Chicago Mission.

Omaha got goals from 4 different players. Nathan Medeiros again led the way offensively with 2 assists and Miles Manson chipped in 1 goal and 1 assist. Justin Ketola (Cloquet , MN) continued his stellar play and earned the win in net for a 2nd straight night.
